PETA at a Bike Rally

Abigail and Dolley readers I do not know if this is authentic, but it was too funny not to post.  If it is true, the PETA people were lucky to have escaped so lightly, if it is a clever work of fiction and the author deserves credit.  If I knew who wrote it I would give them high praise indeed.  It truly speaks to the fact that conservatives will live and let live and respect the individual liberty of our fellow citizens, while liberals can not hold a view without cramming it down their neighbor's throat.  I for one am entirely sick of it.

This was forwarded to me by my BFF who happens to be a biker.  I added the pictures for effect, they do not pertain to the article but are merely for entertainment purposes.

Local and state police scoured the hills outside rural Johnstown, Pennsylvania, after reports of three animal rights activists going missing after attempting to protest the wearing of leather at a large motorcycle gang rally this weekend. Two others, previously reported missing, were discovered by fast food workers “duct taped inside several fast food restaurant dumpsters,” according to police officials.

“Something just went wrong,” said a still visibly shaken organizer of the protest. “Something just went horribly, horribly, wrong.”
The organizer said a group of concerned animal rights activist groups, “growing tired of throwing fake blood and shouting profanities at older women wearing leather or fur coats,” decided to protest the annual motorcycle club event “in a hope to show them our outrage at their wanton use of leather in their clothing and motor bike seats.”

“In fact,” said the organizer, “motorcycle gangs are one of the biggest abusers of wearing leather, and we decided it was high time that we let them know that we disagree with them using it…ergo, they should stop.”
According to witnesses, protesters arrived at the event in a vintage 1960’s era Volkswagen van and began to pelt the gang members with balloons filled with red colored water, simulating blood, and shouting “you’re murderers” to passers by. This, evidently, is when the brouhaha began.

They peed on me!!!” charged one activist. “They grabbed me, said I looked like I was French, started calling me ‘La Trene’, and duct taped me to a tree so they could pee on me all day!”

“I…I was trying to show my outrage at a man with a heavy leather jacket, and he…he didn’t even care. I called him a murderer, and all he said was, ‘You can’t prove that.’ Next thing I know he forced me to ride on the back of his motorcycle all day, and would not let me off, because his girl friend was out of town and I was almost a woman.”

Still others claimed they were forced to eat hamburgers and hot dogs under duress. Those who resisted were allegedly held down while several bikers “farted on their heads.”

Police officials declined comments on any leads or arrests due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, however, organizers for the motorcycle club rally expressed “surprise” at the allegations.

“That’s preposterous,” said one high-ranking member of the biker organizing committee. “We were having a party, and these people showed up and were very rude to us. They threw things at us, called us names, and tried to ruin the entire event. So, what did we do? We invited them to the party! What could be more friendly than that? You know, just because we are all members of motorcycle clubs does not mean we do not care about inclusiveness. Personally, I think it shows a lack of character for them to be saying such nasty things about us after we bent over backwards to make them feel welcome.”

When confronted with the allegations of force-feeding the activists meat, using them as ad hoc latrines, leaving them incapacitated in fast food restaurant dumpsters, and ‘farting on their heads,’ the organizer declined to comment in detail. “That’s just our secret handshake,” assured the organizer.

Dolley - The Gardener

We have been in our home 10 years this summer.  I am feeling every bit of it as I look out over my yard.  Things that were intended for the sun are long and leggy struggling for light under the deep umbrella of shade a very tall tree that was merely a whip when we put it in the year my son was born.  There are remnants of past plantings where one of a grouping outlasts its other four companions, stubbornly clinging to life in spite of the demise of its original companions. It always makes me wonder what made that plant survive while the others did not make it. It is not like my garden is an inhospitable place for plants, quite the contrary, but vegetation does not live forever and perennial does not translate to permanent.

Nothing has taught me more about seasons of life, being happy where you are, and planning for the future more than "digging in the dirt".  A gardener learns to accept the way things are right now and appreciate the good things, while making plans for the future.  If I only loved my garden, "When it is finished", I would never like it, because it is never finished.  There is ALWAYS something to do in the garden, I could piddle from sun up to sun down and have for several weeks.

Other times, I can not be bothered with it.  One summer it went to weeds and when I say weeds, I mean big old weeds.  Some taller than me.  It was an absolute disaster.  I was sick and could not work up the energy to tackle it and it progressed in gruesome awesomeness for an entire summer.  When I finally cleaned it out, it took two weekends.  The garden suffered for several years with a weed problem, so my summer of neglect had long term consequences.

This season of my life has been busier than most.  When I gave an honest answer to the question, "What's been going on with you lately?" the listener got tired merely listening to the hectic schedule.  So I am occupying my down time doing one of my favorite things on earth, digging in the dirt.

I'll be back soon, I promise, but for now, don't bother ringing the bell, I'm around back.

Who Are You With? The Tea Party or the Tequila Party

Abigail and Dolley readers I don't normally copy and paste articles and I try not to regurgitate others words and writing but this article struck a chord with me and I had to share:

TEA PARTY, MEET THE TEQUILA PARTY
THE RULE OF LAW VS. THE LAW OF RULE
By: Resa LaRu Kirkland
One party shouted chants, the other shouted profanities. One party questioned with boldness, the other grabbed its crotch. One party spoke with clarity, courage, and the Constitution, the other threw bottles and food at the policemen who were there to protect them.
One party flew the American flag with joy, the other flew the Mexican flag with menace.

Yep, we are now a two-party people: The pro-American Tea Party, and the anti-American Tequila Party.

Arizona had the nerve to pass a law upholding the rule of law because the Federal agencies, WHOSE JOB THIS WAS, had failed to do so for decades. Arizona passed DefCon 5 on the illegal question back in the 80’s but continued to hold on to the fantasy that the Feds would actually do their job. When once again Big Government failed, they stepped up and took responsibility for their own state, showing that their "THAT IS IT!" moment was long overdue and snapping shut the American purse on those who weren’t American nor law-abiding.

And after decades of doing nothing, suddenly now AG Eric Holder is studying what is going on in Arizona. Only when Arizona showed they would handle things themselves, without the Big Government who had so utterly failed them, did they deem them worthy of their attention.

But then, haven’t we come to expect that from the arrogant, drunken frat boy tactics of this administration? Is it any wonder that the aptly-named Tequila Party supports him? After all, watch the news; their tactics are one and the same, and by their fruits ye shall know them.

And I’m not talking lime, either.

Arizona Republican Gov. Jan Brewer signed a bill Friday to give state police the authority to question whether an individual is in the United States legally and would consider it a crime for people to be unlawfully in the state. She said she was forced to act because Washington has failed to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs from Mexico.

Opponents of the law, who have staged protests in the state capital of Phoenix since last week, used refried beans to smear swastikas on the state Capitol and have demanded a boycott of the state, have said they want to take the case to court for a judge to decide whether the state can enforce federal laws.
Fox News, April 27, 2010
Refried beans; yeah, they’re not stereotypes!
Is this our country or isn’t it? It is literally against the law to come to this country without following the rules, and has been for over a century now. My forefathers had to check in at Ellis Island, have a skill, a place to live, a plan for their lives here, they had to be free of disease or quarantined until they were safe, they had to be free of a criminal record, learn English, swear allegiance, know our history, and be an asset to the land, not a millstone around its neck.
We either have the Rule of Law or we have the Law of Rule, that is, he who rules makes whatever law he damned well wants to make. Our fore-fathers followed the laws and were happy to do so, for they knew there was security in creating a unified country whose members played by the same rules and were subject to the same laws. All we have now is splintered favoritism, and the only rule for being part of the favored groups is apparently how many laws you’re willing to rape.

Yet the current crop of illegals think it’s somehow different for them, that they shouldn’t have to follow the same rules that the ancestors of white Americans had to follow. They believe they should be exempt.

And we’re the arrogant ones?

Keep the faith, bros, in all things courage, and no substitute for VICTORY.

***Tequila Party: Those who believe they are exempt from the laws of the land they demand to be included in and given all benefits meant for the legal citizens, but not pay taxes or have to follow any of the laws/rules already established in said country they are desperate to be a part of; the antithesis of the Tea Party.***

I Think You've Made Enough Money

Abigail and Dolley readers, this week the President of the United States of America uttered these words,

"I do think at a certain point you've made enough money"

Ah, at last, the Marxist reveals his true thoughts and feelings.  This ought to absolutely alarm every citizen of this great nation.  When did achieving great wealth become a bad thing?

Class warfare and the politics of envy will ultimately back fire because Americans have it within their DNA a desire and a fierce yearning for liberty and individual rights.  In his arrogance, he has over played his hand again. Who is to say when you have earned enough money?  What is enough money?  What if it's $30,000?  How are you going to feel about that?

Wake up America - we have elected a radical revolutionary Marxist regime who are intent on stripping you of your property, your liberty, and your life if you disagree with them.
