Red, Chartreuse, Gold Christmas Tree

This year's Christmas Tree has a warm theme.  My trees are normally cool colors but this year we went primarily with red.  The ribbons are wired and secured with floral wire.  Enjoy!

Christmas 2011

Abigail and Dolley readers I have been quite meloncholy this Christmas.  I have been haunted by the memories of last year and find I am fighting off sad and troubling thoughts.  As always, I have taken great pleasure in creating a fashionable Christmas Tree.  It has cheered me considerably, I hope you enjoy.

Merry Christmas!

Abigail and Dolley readers this year, I did my tree in the colors of THE King, inspired by Tudor velvets.  Royal shades of red, blue, purple, green decorated with gold and citrine.  It was inspired by an ornament I have had for years and always thought a tree after that fashion would be stunning..  I spent days getting it just right.  It was a tough one!  I think mostly because the deep purple and the royal blue disappear into the evergreen.  Its actually quite beautiful in all sorts of light and it was a blast putting it together.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.  I told you I have been on a creative tear!  Merry Christmas loyal readers.  You make doing this seem meaningful.  May the Lord Bless you, may He make His face shine down upon you, and give you Peace.  In the Mighty and Powerful Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bless you.

Love,
Dolley

I have tried 6 ways to Sunday to get these pictures to upload correctly, alas, we are in sideways world viewing the whole tree! If you click on the pictures, it will take you to a gallery where they are all right side up.

It is Good to Be Queen - The Pink Christmas Tree

Abigail and Dolley readers may know that I started this blog to discuss things other than politics, I am ashamed to admit that much of what I have written has indeed been Political.  With that said, I would like to pay homage to my Grandma Dixie and to my husband's Grandma Thelma.

This year, the color scheme for the Christmas Tree is Pink  Grandma Dixie would love the pale pink ornaments and the pearls.  Grandma Thelma handmade the tree skirt and I will never again look upon the white and pink round table cloth and wonder what in the world I am ever going to do with it.

So in celebration of Girliness, I pray blessings upon you and your family.  May the Peace and Love of the Lord Jesus envelope you this Christmas.
